And you should have seen the joyful "ground-breaking" celebration!

Every activity of "Osanidde Village" is quite spiritual -- filled with prayer, praise and worship -- and with the purpose of glorifying God. Before the children began their garden, they learned about Jesus' parable of the sower (from Matthew Chapter 13). Then the children fervently prayed over their land, then they sang and danced as they plowed-up the soil. After the very first seed was planted (with much fan-fare and many photos to commemorate the event), each child stood by their own little hole, and then -- all in unison -- each child from Osanidde Village planted three kernels of corn in his or her own little hole (all except for 5-year-old "Ivan" -- one of the youngest orphans at "Osanidde Village" -- who instead, sat down . . . and innocently ate his seeds.) At the conclusion of the event, the children marched around their first plot, fervently praising the LORD, and dedicating their planted seeds to Him. It was precious!
