National Evangelism Team Support
Drake & Josephine Kanaabo Kampala,
Uganda

INTRODUCTION:
Drake & Josephine Kanaabo are incredible friends and ministry partners. Jon met Drake on his first mission trip to Africa. On that outreach, Drake was Jon's interpreter for several church services and village outreaches, and we realized it was the Lord who brought us together. When we first met, Drake was a T.V. and radio repairman...but he had a heart and an anointing for ministry. Soon afterwards, he became Harvest Ministry's first N.E.T.S. minister, and today, Drake oversees all of the N.E.T.S. ministers in Africa. He primarily conducts city-wide evangelistic outreaches and has seen multitudes come to the Lord. He was born on the floor of a mud hut, in a poor village, and did not even have shoes until his teens...but God has taken him to the nations. Since becoming a N.E.T.S. minister, Drake has had the opportunity to minister across the continent of Africa, as well as throughout Europe, India, the Philippines, and the United States. He is a national African evangelist with a heart for the world. --Jon

Drake Kanaabo's Testimony:
Growing up, my father was a Muslim and my mother was an Anglican (but not born-again). During the terrible reign of Idi Amin in Uganda, soldiers came into my village. I ran to escape, and ended up hiding in a room with several Christians. They began to pray fervently, and one woman told us that the Lord said all of us in the room would be safe. The soldiers came into the rooms all around us, but did not come in our room. Later, I found that every other man in the village had been killed. I went back to these Christians and surrendered my life to Jesus.
A year later, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and began to preach whenever I could. At times it was hard to be a Christian. My Muslim relatives thought I should "chase my wife away" because she was unable to have children. For 13 years, Josephine and I trusted God for a baby (despite many miscarriages and one stillbirth). Finally, in 1993 we had our first son, Samuel, and now we have a second son named John.
Before my father died, he became a Christian, along with many other relatives, and now there is a strong church in my home village.
The primary mission of the Church is to win lost souls to the Lord. Many Christians, however, seem not to understand this any more. Evangelism is at the bottom of the list of priorities in many churches. Most believers spend years without even trying to talk to just one lost soul about Christ. Time wasted can never be recaptured. God values souls far much more than gold or silver....We are here on a mission, to spread this life-changing gospel in the shortest possible time using every effective strategy.

Very special thanks to my brother, Jon Dunagan, who inspired me to pursue my call.

The purpose of Harvest
Ministry is to help fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ to "Go
into all the world to preach the Gospel." Harvest Ministry is passionate
about winning souls, and is committed to going wherever the harvest is
most ripe, and wherever the Lord directs... Primarily, this is
accomplished through International Gospel Outreaches (especially in East
Africa and other third-world countries), National Evangelism Team
Support (N.E.T.S.), and encouraging Christians in world evangelism.
