Our Mission

In Mark 16:15, Jesus Christ gave us His GREAT COMMISSION to
"Go into all the world and preach the Gospel."



How HARVEST MINISTRY Began:
In 1987 (at only 21 years old, and with only $27), Jon & Ann Dunagan stepped out into "full-time ministry" establishing "Harvest Ministry" as a Christian evangelism and missions outreach. From the very beginning, our primary emphasis has been to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world (especially with those who've never heard it) and to bring a "harvest" of souls into His Kingdom. Since its founding, by God's grace alone, Harvest Ministry has reached out into over 70 different countries on hundreds of international outreaches and on every continent...(including Antarctica!). Through the International Gospel Outreaches and the N.E.T.S. Outreaches, Harvest Ministry has preached face-to-face to several million people...and has seen over one million individuals surrender their lives to the Lord Jesus.

What a joy it has been to witness multitudes saved, healed, delivered, and water baptized...and to see national ministers encouraged to reach their own people and surrounding nations. As a result of Harvest Ministry's evangelistic outreaches, approximately 400 self-supporting churches have been planted in remote areas.

Our PASSION for SOULS:
Specifically, the Lord has called Harvest Ministry to WORLD EVANGELISM in places where people are most eager to receive the Good News of Jesus Christ. Many times, God leads us to countries where others (perhaps generations before) obediently sacrificed or literally gave their lives -- without ever seeing the fruit of their labor. God has simply called us to go and reap the harvest that is now ready and waiting. Primarily, this vision is accomplished through International Outreaches, the "N.E.T.S." Ministry, our "Osanidde Village" Orphanage Ministry, and by encouraging Christians about the importance of world evangelism..



International Gospel Outreaches:
In remote cities or villages, typical week-long outreaches include evangelistic preaching in city stadiums of parks, special music, altar calls for salvation and healing, showing the JESUS movie in a local language (when possible), and training national ministers.

    N.E.T.S. -- National Evangelism Team Support:
    Harvest Ministry partners with national evangelists (supplying equipment, vehicles, encouragement, prayer and finances) so these "N.E.T.S." Ministers can reach their world for Jesus Christ!

    "Osanidde Village" Orphanage:
    In 2006, Harvest Ministry founded an orphanage on Bussi Island in Uganda, East Africa. It's a beautiful place where orphan children are being trained-up to fulfill God's purpose and destiny.

    The purpose of Harvest Ministry is to help fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ to "Go into all the world to preach the Gospel." Harvest Ministry is passionate about winning souls, and is committed to going wherever the harvest is most ripe, and wherever the Lord directs... Primarily, this is accomplished through International Gospel Outreaches (especially in East Africa and other third-world countries), National Evangelism Team Support (N.E.T.S.), our Osanidde Village orphanage ministry, and encouraging other Christians to become actively involved in world evangelism.
